Members of Capsicum annuum were most likely domesticated in regions of South and Central America.

Compact plant covered with small red and green peppers. 50,000-100,000 Scoville Heat Units (HOT!) Seedlings take 10-25 days to emerge. Fruits 90 days from transplant.

Seeds should remain viable for 2 to 4 years.
