Pumpkin – Cucurbita pepo

Pumpkin is a cultivar of a squash plant, and is native to North America.

Prefers well-drained, fertile, loose soil, high in organic matter. Consistent moisture is needed from the time plants emerge until fruits begin to fill out. 90 to 120 to harvest.

Wait until danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed to about 70 F, or about 2 weeks after the last frost date.

Seeds should remain viable for 6 years.
